Relay returns to Collectible

Following a successful international launch in Brussels at Collectible 2020, Relay Design Projects is delighted to return to Collectible Salon in 2021.

For the occasion, we are proud to present a limited series by British designer-maker Charlotte Kidger. Relay first met Charlotte while in Brussels in 2020 when she was selected to exhibit as part of Collectible’s Curated section, so it is fitting that we return with this new series of vessels by Kidger entitled ‘Turned Series’.

The series of 12 unique vessels are produced using reclaimed industrial waste which Kidger transforms into sculptural and functional objects. The Turned Series was produced in response to a commission by Relay Design Projects.

Part of the invitation stipulates the opportunity to develop new studio processes. For the Turned Series, Kidger explores the lathe as a technical means to expand her use of form, experimenting with new shapes and functions. The result is a series of turned totemic vessels, each unique and hand-dyed in shades of chartreuse.
